Our team offers a large range of services spanning conception through to monitoring and servicing. In conjunction with Lutron’s worldwide technical resources, we are well placed to undertake projects of differing scales and successfully implement.
Our team can offer advice on control system applications and also the implementation of energy management strategies for both existing properties and new build developments. Criteria such as daylight harvesting, occupancy sensing, high end trimming, light level tuning, solar adaptive shading and timeclock scheduling can all be reviewed for potential energy savings.
Project Liaison & Management
The key to successful system integration is concise and up to date documentation. Working alongside the design and M&E teams, we will undertake full responsibility of project coordination covering all elements relating to our scopes of work. With regular site and meeting attendance, underpinned with clear electronic communication, all stages of design implementation will be professionally managed.
Programming & Commissioning
This is one of the most important processes and aims to tailor the control systems performance as tightly as possible to the occupant’s usage and requirements. Real-time implementation of the day one strategy plan is the first step with operational tweaks and fine tuning to follow. Operational light level setting and timed events for occupancy and vacancy are critical for energy management and other comfort control setting can be added to suit.
Support & Maintenance
Even though these systems are designed with steely reliability in mind, it is always advisable that preventative maintenance is undertaken. Whether it be firmware upgrades or general hardware inspection and servicing our engineers are on hand to keep the systems on top of their game. Each building’s unique requirements are assessed on their own merits and a tailored service package can then be structured to suit.
Concept & Design
After the initial strategy planning has been drawn up, in line with the building’s operational requirements, a control system design can start to be prepared. Control, sensing and hardware locations can then be allocated and system wiring schematics produced to accommodate. This information can then be added to the main M&E documentation for the team to integrate.
System Integration & Installation
All of our installations are undertaken by our team of experienced and trained engineers. Most of our work will involve cable checking and second fix termination and our site engagement reflects the high standards expected at this level. Dovetailing with the other fit out contractors, our engineers will carry out the main hardware installation and carry out ballast, circuit and system checks required prior to programming.
Training can cover a range of topics from the basic operation of multi-function keypads, up to the full administration of the Quantum system software. With Green Glance energy view always to hand, facility managers can go through adjust and review cycles with the occupants to increase energy efficiency. Structured training can also provide for in-house operational layout changes, as often required in shared space office formats.
Monitoring & Control
As mentioned previously during the commissioning stage, the main focus of these systems is to optimise building function against energy consumption. After the initial set-up it is important that the systems are tweaked and fine tuned to obtain the perfect level of efficiency. With regular operational changes, control scheduling becomes critical to the success of the systems management. Monitoring can be undertaken either locally by the facility manager or centrally by us or the head office.
